Should Manti Teo win the Heisman trophy?  Because I am a local boy and I love everything local...I undoubtedly want him to win.  Do I think he deserves to win? yes of course, do I think he should win? No.  Johnny "Football" Manziel should win it, he set records for most combined yards in a single season and orchestrated a win over the might Alabama Crimson Tide.

Now, having said all that about Johnny Football, who do I think is going to win it...drum roll please MANTI TE'O!!!!

Although Manziel shattered records and beat Bama, he has two things going against him, he is a freshman and there is huge sentimental momentum for our homeboy. It has been talked about over and over about how he lost two loved ones in a week and continued to lead the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to the number one spot.  

Manti Te'o without a doubt will win the Heisman Trophy.  

*sidenote:  A local television station did a special on Manti and interviewed his father. He talked about Letter of Intent day, a day when high school athletes make their final decision and pick a college.  Manti had indicated that he was leaning towards USC, but on the morning of signing day, he had a change of heart and picked Notre Dame.  He then picked up the phone to tell the USC coach Pete Carroll that he was choosing Notre Dame, which according to his dad, sent Pete Carroll into a verbal rage... "you will amount to nothing!!!"  

It was so sweet to see the ending of the USC game, when Notre Dame was victorious and Manti could bask in the glory of beating them on their home field.  How sweet it is...
