Over the past year Pohaku has become recognized for their original flavors. In 2004, they produced their first full-length album entitled “Friends Forever,” since then the band has gone through some outstanding transformations, and is still able to captivate their audience at every performance. In return for all of their hard work and dedication to local music, Pohaku was the runner up in the famous Mai Tai Rumble in 2003 and recently was named as Island Rhythm’s (98.5 FM) Ultimate Champions on the Battle of the Bands, for their newest original titled “I Love You.”They are currently
performing at shows all over the Islands
and have been featured on local radio stations and newspapers. They
have opened for some of Hawaii’s premier entertainers to
include
Fiji, Koa’uka, Hot Rain, Baba B, B.E.T, and countless others.
Pohaku is available for all types of venues, clubs, and bars. They
currently perform at some of Hawaii’s hottest night clubs
such as
the Mai Tai Bar, Pipeline Cafe`, The Shack, Chez Monique, and many
others. Pohaku specializes in private parties, weddings, special
events, community functions, and tourist-resort venues. Any place you
could possibly conceive of having a live island band, Pohaku is ready
